Laurent Bonnet advises both lenders (banks and debt funds) and borrowers (private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers) on debt financing matters, with a particular focus on acquisition finance and corporate finance, including both bank and bond financing. He also has significant experience in debt negotiations and restructurings.

Career:

Before joining Valther, Laurent was an Associate and subsequently Counsel in the Finance practice of Goodwin Procter LLP. Prior to that, he practised within the Finance team at Shearman & Sterling, where he advised on a broad range of financing transactions.

Training:

  • Master's Degree in Economic Law from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po Paris).
  • Master's Degree in Banking and Financial Law from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University.
